No two varieties of this tea are alike in shape and flavours! Chaoquing is grown on small farmlands near cold mountainous regions over a longer period that envelops the green tea with higher nutrition and a characteristic spicy flavor and aroma that hum throughout the cup.
What makes it great
An old tea with a distinguished toasty aftertaste, it brightens the mind and becomes an acquired taste for tea-lovers over time. Roasted gently in a wok, its dark green wiry leaves embody themselves with fresh and nuanced flavour profiles.Traditionally this tight tea was heated by hand-kneading it to retain its delicate shape, a practice still followed by many tea-farmers.
Taste and Aroma Notes
A developed tea palate will best enjoy the vegetal and refreshing accents layered with a toasty aftertaste. The brewed tea is gracefully aromatic, bringing mellow and pure scents to your mind with a brisk, sweet aftertaste.
Multiple Infusions
Don't throw away your tea after steeping it! One of the greatest advantage of drinking whole leaf tea is that each serving of leaves can be re-steeped many times.
This tea can be re-steeped 4 times. We recommend using 4 grams of this whole leaf tea for 150ml of water
200 gms= 200 cups of tea
We recommend returning to any used tea leaves within the day.
