A well-known historic tea, hand-picked Tie Guan Yin harvested in Spring is a bright, welcoming brew of glossy tea tips that fills you with sweet lingering aromas. It is popularly known as the Iron Goddess of Mercy Tea, after a legend where Wei, a Buddhist farmer discovered this tea and offered it as a tribute to the Goddess every day.
What makes it great
Baked with traditional techniques over charcoal, Tie Guan Yin of Spring brims with rich and strong floral fragrances, while the dark green and brown leaves are shaped into closely knit granules. This minimum roast and oxidation allows the tea to offer a soft finish and a warm mineral texture.
Taste and Aroma Notes
The walnutty-floral scents of this bright yellowish-green tea is ideal for new palates seeking a balance between sweet green and deep black tea notes.
Multiple Infusions
We recommend re-steeping this tea up to 5 times using 3 grams of tea leaves for 150ml of water.
100 grams = 166 cups of tea.
This tea will last for multiple infusions throughout the day. One of the greatest advantages of drinking good quality loose-leaf tea is that each serving can be re-steeped many times.
