With over 18 vast and pristine mountains, Alishan high mountains are the most famous and largest range in the Taiwan province. This variety of oolong grows at high altitudes of 800-1400 meters in the company of sparkling spring waters.
What makes it great
Misty mountain air and an ecologically clean environment encourages the tea leaves to garner a brisk texture yet soft and sweet flavours while being replete with impactful minerals that nourishes your health. The best quality of Alishan Oolong tea involves a skillful and complex making, where freshly hand-picked leaves are mashed with high-pressure. This creates a fragrant juice that initiates a nourishing fermentation process.
Taste and Aroma Notes
The liquor is mellow and sweet on the taste buds as subtle vanilla and peach notes appear, perfect or a quiet afternoon or early evening brew.
We recommend re-steeping this tea up to 5 times using 3 grams of tea leaves for 150ml of water.
50 grams = 83 cups of tea.
This tea will last for multiple infusions throughout the day. One of the greatest advantages of drinking good quality loose-leaf tea is that each serving can be re-steeped many times.
