An example of bliss in tea-form, this oolong is often compared to delicious wine for its woody and dry texture. Flavours in the tea are enhanced by encouraging grasshoppers to bite into the tea plants’ during their early growth-time, leaving it with an unmistakable and exclusive honey-like flavour!
What makes it great
Grown without any insecticides, a longer withering duration speeds the oxidation process of this tea up to 70% nearing the level of black tea, while its inherent typical sweet flavour is further enhanced by tea-jassids’ bites. While other oolongs include the top four to five leaves and the single bud, Eastern Beauty uses only one bud and two leaves coloured in hints of dark purple and brown.
Taste and Aroma Notes
Velvety sweet undercurrents with no astringency round up to the edges as the naturally thick and fruity aromas create a warming and relaxing mouthfeel.
We recommend re-steeping this tea up to 4 times using 3 grams of tea leaves for 150ml of water.
75 grams = 99 cups of tea.
This tea will last for multiple infusions throughout the day. One of the greatest advantages of drinking good quality loose-leaf tea is that each serving can be re-steeped many times.
