Grown at over 1800 meters above sea level at Shan Lin Xi summit’s ancient tea farms, this honey-green oolong tea exudes a characteristic sweet fragrance, attained by a lighter oxidation of around 20%, and the nourishing crisp and misty air of surrounding high mountains.
What makes it great
Tea farmers dry the leaves of this tea extensively before tightly rolling and light roasting to free them of any leftover moisture. This outdoor solar withering process is key in high quality Oolong, allowing the carefully oxidised, dark-green pellets to unfurl into a meditative soft, and full-bodied brew that also effectively boosts metabolism.
Taste and Aroma Notes
One notices a cooling depth with hints of melons and a mineral, buttery mouthfeel in this brew as a distinct, deep-forest like finish pleasantly takes over.
We recommend re-steeping this tea up to 6 times using 3 grams of tea leaves for 150ml of water.
50grams = 100cups of tea.
This tea will last for multiple infusions throughout the day. One of the greatest advantages of drinking good quality loose-leaf tea is that each serving can be re-steeped many times.
