Celebrate ancient Tai Ping legacies with this hand-pressed wonder that never tastes bitter, no matter how many leaves you add or how long you brew it for. Hand-plucked early in Spring when the flavours of the leaves are at the softest, this green tea is refined using a unique ‘kill-green’ approach known as ‘sha qing’ that lends a deep green tint to the leaves.

What makes it great
It's believed that the kind gesture by a farmer towards a mother monkey, led to her appearing in his dreams and guiding him to this slow-grown green tea hidden in deep forests. Processed with care, farmers are known to traditionally lay out each aged leaf and press them into the striking “bookmark” shape that creates a refined and mellow flavour profile.

Taste and Aroma Notes
Each brew of this tea unfurls unique aromas where orchid floral undertones are prominent. The first infusion speaks highlighting these floral scents while the second brews are more deeply flavoured followed by pleasantly scented notes.

Multiple Infusions
Don't throw away your tea after steeping it! One of the greatest advantage of drinking whole leaf tea is that each serving of leaves can be re-steeped many times.
This tea can be re-steeped 3 times. We recommend using 4 grams of this whole leaf tea for 150 ml of water

50 grams = 36 cups of tea.

We recommend returning to any used tea leaves within the day.
