The Monkey King Tea of Tai Ping foothills surrounds several tasteful stories. One where a kind gesture by a farmer towards a mother monkey, leads her to guide him in dreams to this
slow-grown tea. Its unique hand-pressing technique never lets the green tea taste bitter. It’s jaded emerald leaves offer a lingering sweetness along with a soothing and hydrating wellness with each sip!
What makes it great
Laurelled for its distinguished shoots that can sometimes grow as long as 15 centimeters, plucking this green tea is a complex process as tea-farmers have to wait for the leaves to fully develop with the traditional lightness and sweet aftertaste that Hou Kui is known for!
Taste and Aroma Notes
Tai Ping Hou Kui’s clear, floral aroma persists over multiple brews with a fresh taste and brilliant green coloured liquor. Its beautiful, slender shape is a beauty worth admiring, while sipping on the sweet, flowery flavour.
