Xinyang Mao Jian, 75g

Green Tea Gold Collection

Ships in 24-48 working hours

Watch your Yin and Yang meet harmoniously as you brew this rare tea from Xinyang townships, of which over 50,000 young buds are plucked to make only 500gms of this finished green tea, folding in the buttery, umami flavour.

What makes it great
Celebrated over 2,300 years, Mao Jian or ‘fur tips’ refers to the inner-side, white furry appearance of its slender leaves. After plucking the green tea leaves during the first flush of Spring, they are rolled and pan fried to create their discerning needle-like dry shape that brews into a beautiful light green coloured tea filled with nutty aromas.

Taste and Aroma Notes
The dry leaves of Mao Jian provide the perfect opportunity to savour a lovely grassy, vegetal andfruity tea drinking experience. A taste that is quite complex but balanced with a deep and lasting umami aftertaste.

Multiple Infusions

Don't throw away your tea after steeping it! One of the greatest advantage of drinking whole leaf tea is that each serving of leaves can be re-steeped many times.

This tea can be re-steeped 4 times. We recommend using 3 grams of this whole leaf tea for 150ml of water

75 gms= 99 cups of tea

We recommend returning to any used tea leaves within the day.
