What is Tea

WHAT IS TEA?

Tea is one of the most popular beverages consumed worldwide. Tea comes from the plant Camellia Sinensis and is consumed as Green, Black, or Oolong tea. From these chief varieties, green tea is known to have the best health benefits on human health. The association between tea consumption and human health has long been celebrated, especially green tea.
Tea contains zero calories and just a serving of tea is like adding a serving of fruits or vegetables to your diet. About one-third of the weight of a tea leaf is flavonoids, which is considered to be a great proportion, especially when you consider there are no calories in tea. Many people believe that tea is dehydrating, but the National Academy of Sciences has refuted that claim, stating that tea is as hydrating as water.
Sipping on tea is also one of the easiest ways to get your share of antioxidants without consuming calorie-rich food. These antioxidants help in maintaining healthy cells that can get us a better and healthier life.

Known Your Teas to the T

BETTER WITH EVERY USE- CONFUSED ABOUT INFUSIONS?

The best kind of whole leaf tea can be brewed again and again and yet, again! While buying tea, most buyers compare prices and then choose their pick. Unaware that some whole leaf teas can be brewed up to ten times! With every brew, the flavour of the leaves unfurls into a tasteful drink that we can relish. So, the next time you are out tea shopping, look at the number of infusions that each brew brings with it and not only the price. Your tea only gets better, steep by steep!
